Here’s a little retrospective on one of the most original and most diverse writers working today, Brian K. Vaughan. In just a few short years the guy made it to the top of the comic book industry, finished up all of his work (Y: The Last Man, Ex Machina, and Runaways) with solid endings, then left to write for television. luckily, after a few failed screenplays and a short stint as a staff writer on a certain hugely popular science fiction show, he’s back in comics writing an all new series with Fiona Staples for Image called Saga. Not surprisingly, the two issues released thus far have been both critical and financial successes. With the exception of Snyder and Capulo’s Batman, It’s probably the book I look forward to most every month. No one, and I mean NO ONE can humanize high concept fiction quite like BKV, so it’s great to have him back doing what he does best. Anyway, watch the video if you want to see Conor, Ron, and Josh of Ifanboy do a way better job of summing up his career. Also, check out any of the work I’ve mentioned. Seriously, you won’t be disappointed.
